Deb Farrimond Art
Deb has always had a passion for animals, in recent years she has found the time to follow her dream of being an artist. Mainly self-taught, Deb has attended many workshops and masterclasses with various Australian and International artists to expand her knowledge of her chosen mediums, pastel, charcoal and scratchboard.
Deb’s main aim with her painting is to give the animals soul and evoke feelings from the viewer for the animals in her paintings. Deb loves painting wildlife and bringing the animals to life, with her focus being on the eyes! Deb also wants to bring light to the issues of conservation and our endangered species and donates most of her sales to various wildlife and conservation groups in Australia and around the world.
Travelling has given Deb great reference material for her paintings and has also fuelled her passion to help with conservation for our planet’s wildlife!
Deb’s inspiration comes from meeting and photographing the animals. Getting to see their personality, watching their movements, muscle form, flow of fur, eye colour etc. Getting to know the animal helps to bring them to life in her paintings.
Painting for wildlife conservation and awareness is Deb’s passion!
