Sketch for Survival 2021 – 100 Finalists
Congratulations to all our finalists, and thank you for supporting Sketch for Survival.
The 100 finalists will have their work exhibited alongside our Invitational Collection at the gallery@oxo in London between the 17th – 28th November. Their artwork will be sold via our online auction concluding Sunday 28 November with all proceeds supporting the 21 For 21 Project Fund.
All 100 finalists go forward, along with our Invitational artworks, to the The Artist Award, chosen by the editorial staff of The Artist Magazine, and the Leisure Painter’s People’s Choice award, voted for online by the public.
Shortlisted artists are eligible for the Sketch for Survival 100 Wildlife and Wild Spaces Artist of the Year awards.
All results will be announced at the Royal Geographical Society in London on Thursday 18 November. Shortlisted artists will be invited to the event.
All finalists also receive one year’s complimentary membership to our Explorer Club. This will be forwarded by the end of September.

Within the 100 we have contributors from 17 different countries this year.
We received more primates than anything else with orangutans being particularly popular. Big Cats were also well represented. This is reflected in the collections.Within the 100 we have at least 53 different species depicted, plus a variety of at-risk wild spaces.
Of the 53 species you’ll find 15 classified as VU (Vulnerable)by the International Union for Conservation of Nature Red List (IUCN), 18 different EN (Endangered) species and 15 different CR (Critically Endangered) species.
