Focus for Survival Introducing 26

Thank you to everyone who entered our Focus for Survival Introducing competition. We’ve received many memorable wildlife and wild space images from around the world.  Each of the 26 finalists helps to tell a troubling narrative for the 21st Century. Each image represents a place or species under threat due to human activity. Beyond the horizon is a story of habitat loss, population fragmentation, persecution, pollution and declining numbers. We’ll be sharing more details about each of the final images in due course.

All 26 images will be displayed in a special digital exhibit at gallery@oxo this November.

What happens next? A shortlist of six images will be announced on September 4th. We’ll get in touch with short-listed photographers to request high-res files. Each short-listed image will be produced as an exhibition print for gallery@oxo and have the chance to win the Focus for Survival Introducing Photographer of the Year award, announced in November. The exhibition prints will also be included in our annual fund-raising auction in aid of this year’s projects (November).

The public will also get their chance to vote for their favourite image. Our People’s Choice vote will open in the autumn and feature all the following 26 images.

Congratulations to all the finalists.
