Please note you submit your bid on the condition that you have read and accepted all the terms and conditions below.

The starting price of lots is stated on the Lot Page. Please see the full auction terms and conditions below before bidding. The auction concludes on 29th March 2025. Individual lot times are given on the individual lot pages.

  1. By bidding for any lot you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  2. The auction is open to everyone aged 18 or over.
  3. When you place a bid you thereby enter a contractually binding and irrevocable obligation to complete the transaction if you are the winning bidder of that lot at the end of the auction, and it includes any under-bidder who is awarded the lot following the failure for any reason of a higher bid to fulfil their obligations.
  4. The lots are described as accurately as possible but colour reproduction in the photos may not accurately reproduce the original work or not show the full detail and texture of the piece. The mock-up photos are to give a general indication of size when hung on the wall only. The Real World Conservation Trust accepts no responsibility for any discrepancies in the descriptions and the items and refunds will not be made.
  1. You are not able to retract any bid under any circumstances after it has been submitted.
  2. Before you place any bid you must ensure that you have sufficient funds to pay for that lot. Payments can be made via bank transfer or cheque for UK buyers and bank transfer or PayPal/credit card for overseas buyers. Invoices will be emailed to all winning bidders within 4 working days of the auction finishing. Payment must be received within one week of the invoice date.
  3. There is no Buyers Premium to pay. What you bid for the Lot is what you pay except for delivery costs which are extra.
  4. The winning bidder is responsible for postage costs for the delivery of their lot/s. These will be standard carriage rates of the Royal Mail in the UK to UK addresses or their international services.
  5. Until full payment is received and cleared by the payment deadline the lots remain the property of the Real World Conservation Trust.
  6. To the extent permitted by law, the Real World Conservation Trust does not accept any liability for any loss, damage, claim or costs howsoever arising from or incurred wholly or partly by participation in the auction or delivery of any lot.
  7. The decision of the Trustees of the Real World Conservation Trust, the organisers of Explorers against Extinction and Sketch for Survival, as to the winning bid or otherwise, together with any exercise of their discretion hereunder, is final and cannot be challenged, nor will any explanation or reason be given. Any exercise of discretion, or agreement, by the trustees specified in these Terms and Conditions shall be in their sole and unfettered discretion, and no reasons can be requested or will be supplied and no correspondence will be entered into. The trustees may authorise a representative to undertake any or all of his functions under these terms.
  8. All individual data will be treated in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
