Sketch for Survival 2024 – Results

From humble beginnings, Sketch for Survival has grown tremendously over the past eight years.

The initiative raises awareness about endangered species and threatened wild spaces through art, and thanks to your support, participation,  and passion, it also contributes vital funds to conservation – half a million dollars to date, supporting specific conservation projects across 30 different countries.

Stage Two of selection is underway. Results will be published on our website on 5 September (Senior competition) and 19 September (Junior competition). Finalists will be included in our autumn exhibitions and fundraising auction in October/November 2024. Please see ‘Events’ page for dates and details.

This year there were 1082 individual entries in the senior Sketch for Survival category,  and more than 5,000 in the junior category! A new record.

Neil, our volunteer schools co-ordinator had his work cut out with 69 schools entering this year – 58 of them for the first time. School entries accounted for 35% of all the junior entries and came from 19 different countries including Lithuania, Vietnam, France, New Zealand, Iran, Romania and Trinidad & Tobago.

In total, across the senior and junior competitions there was participation from 94 different nationalities.  114 different nationalities have participated over the course of eight years  – something we are very proud of.

Thank you to everyone who took part this year.
