In November 2021 we held an event at London’s Royal Geographical Society. The evening event was hosted by our patron Pip Stewart.
BBC Spy in the Wild documentary filmmaker Philip Dalton was our headline speaker – making a special appearance with baby spy gorilla. It was a brilliant talk, and a fascinating insight into filming in the wild, with some incredible behind the scenes footage.
A book signing took place in the interval with Pip Stewart and photographer and author Nori Jemil.
After the interval, charity trustees Rob and Sara gave a presentation about the projects being supported, and announced the year’s awards which were presented by Hugh Brune from Bradt Travel Guides.
The awards presentation was followed by two fascinating project updates – one from Bex Carter of the Manta Trust and the other by Jillian Miller from The Gorilla Organization focusing on work in Uganda, supported by 21 for 21. It was a packed programme and it was lovely to see so many people enjoying the event.
Many thanks to everyone who attended on the night, and to all the student volunteers. Here are a few photos.
