As we step into 2025, we’re thrilled to share some exciting news: our 2024 project partners have now received the funds allocated to them as a result of Sketch for Survival 2024 fundraising.

This annual milestone is a wonderful way to begin the New Year, knowing that together, our efforts are making a tangible difference for wildlife, people and habitats around the globe.

Our 2024 Project Partners Receiving Funds:

1. Giraffe Conservation Foundation (GCF): Protecting Kordofan Giraffe in Chad
With an estimated 2,300 Critically Endangered Kordofan giraffes left in the wild, 60% of them live in Chad. GCF’s work focuses on monitoring and protecting these gentle giants through conservation initiatives. Your support is helping secure a future for this iconic species in one of its last remaining strongholds.

2. Red Panda Network: Reforesting Habitat in Nepal
In the Eastern Himalayas, red pandas face the dual threats of habitat loss and fragmentation. The Red Panda Network is working to reforest critical habitats and connect fragmented areas, ensuring these elusive creatures can thrive. Your contributions are helping restore biodiversity in the Panchthar-Ilam-Taplejung (PIT) corridor, a vital region for one of the world’s most charismatic animals.

3. Projeto Ariranhas: Tracking Giant Otter Migration in Brazil
In Brazil’s Pantanal, researchers are studying giant otters, a key indicator of healthy aquatic ecosystems. Projeto Ariranhas is working to identify potential migration corridors and suitable recolonization areas. Your support funds essential fieldwork and research to better understand and protect these social and endangered otters.

A Heartfelt Thank You

A huge thank you to everyone who supported Sketch for Survival 2024—from the talented artists who donated incredible artwork, to those who attended exhibitions, events, and bid in the auction. Your generosity is driving real change for wildlife conservation.

Stay tuned for updates as we follow the progress of these vital initiatives throughout the year!
